Mónica Vicente Recital

Paintings and drawings created for the stage design of the final recital of Madrid-based drummer Mónica Vicente at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona.

Seven original artworks were developed, one for each piece performed during the concert, accompanying a diverse musical repertoire ranging from Latin jazz and experimental jazz to progressive rock and R&B.

In a collaborative creative dialogue with the drummer, a series of visual compositions was conceived to gradually evoke an atmosphere of intimacy, immersion, expansion and emotional depth, responding to the intricate sonic layers of works by artists such as Ezra Collective and Nate Smith.
